I should be writing a paper right now. Fall quarter is winding down, but of course not without immense loads of coursework to prepare me for the holidays. I’ve been reminiscing this morning about a trip Mulch and I took to Mammoth last Spring. It was chilly and patches of snow still littered the landscape, a treat for two southern CA natives.
Photography is an interesting gift. The viewer is given a glimpse into a moment, but a photograph can never capture the entirety. The smells, sounds, feelings that accompanied that moment are hindered by a one dimensional perspective.
Regardless of all the philosophical discourse that can take place over photography, I’m so thankful for the ability to capture such precious moments spent with the ones I love. This was a special trip, less because of what was done and more because of who it was done with.
So, to all of you looking to kill some time at work or procrastinating at schoolwork like me, I hope you enjoy these photos. They are all from my film camera.
